 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: November 7th 2004
Likes: Not having to live with abusive owners anymore.....and being a member of our family

Pet-Peeves: Hunter, when he acts like the alpha dog and pushes Remy around

Favorite Toy: Kongs, chewies, balls, sticks, Baylee, Nugget and Blake (to wrestle with)

Favorite Food: Iams and any snacks anyone wants to part with like a piece of popcorn, a chip, anything at all

Favorite Walk: In Utah on our property looking for wild turkeys and just being anywhere we are

Best Tricks: Sitting and staying.....and he is really good off leash and stays right with us

Arrival Story: Our neighbor told us a co-worker of his had taken him to the pound because his wife was upset because he peed on the floor AND that they had put a shock collar on him at 3 months of age to train him (WHY WOULD SOMEONE BE SO CRUEL!?!?!?) So we raced to the pound and adopted him.....it is really their loss. He is smart, sweet and we figured probably piddled because they scared the heck out of him. He acts abused so we are giving him lots of love and promised him he would never be with mean, cruel people again. It has been a lesson in patience as he pees at the drop of a hat.....you can't raise your voice, move fast, reprimand any of the dogs, tell him to sit, etc. etc. without the consequences of him peeing. Such a sad dog.....

Bio: He was born in Iowa and shipped to a pet store in Las Vegas where we used to live..(Yuk!!)......not a great start to life but we are going to make things better for him......he has his buddies to play with and lots of acres to run on.....PLUS Dad takes him out in the field to look for birds and he likes that alot. We will love him forever and make his years with us the best!! Update 2008....Remy is the happiest dog.....he runs and runs and when he comes inside he goes head first into our bed and under the covers...it is like sleeping with a tornado....constantly turning....and gathering the covers....and getting stuck in the back with dog nails.....the peeing has slowed down considerably, thank goodness. (wouldn't want him peeing the bed...nasty!).....love him to death ....he has boundless energy.....and is the best dog off leash that we have owned. He and Blake, our golden, are best buds....they play tag with each other for hours on end.
Update: Sept. 5, 2010....Remy was put to sleep this morning. He had developed a large lump on his side and after two months of doctoring and heartbreak for us they realized it was an aggressive cancer. He deteriorated badly the past 48 hours and we couldn't put him through anything else. We did everything we could and it was just too bad a situation. He was a sweet dog and we will hold a special place in our hearts for the happy little guy. :(
