Arrival Story: My husband and I were browsing on the internet looking to adopt a siberian husky...we looked and looked and looked and finally we found one named Beau. At the time we were living in Corpus Christi Texas and Beau lived in Abilene Texas which is about 7 hours away...well we fell in love with this cute 6 week old little puppy so we decided to get up at 2:00 in the morning to drive up and adopt her. Well.....things didnt work out so well. We got up there after a long tiring ride he was the cutest thing i have ever seen, so full of energy, beautiful eyes, the whole 9 yards, well....found out that we couldn't take him home because he needed to stay there for about a week to get fixed....they neglected to tell us that when we had called a couple days earlier. We were heartbroken and the lady dealing with the adoption felt so bad after we told her how far we had come. We asked her if we could take him home with us and get him fixed but they dont trust people getting the animals fixed so they wanted to make sure that they are fixed...they dont believe in the whole breeding thing. Anyways...we were on our way..sadly! We had one more stop we were going to make that was about 3 hours away, but we didnt stop because the puppies at the next place didnt have their shots..so we kept going....going home! On the way home i called every number in the state of Texas that had puppies to adopt...no luck!! :( Then.....we were about 2 hours away from home, i had to stop and use the restroom, so we stopped at a gas station....and off to the right in a little crate was a beautiful husky....for $150 she was waiting to go home with a new family...so we took her. She was 9 weeks, the cutest face and the most sweetest little girl. God was watching over us that day because he knew how much we wanted a husky....and sure enough we got ourselves a pure bred siberian husky. Man, this was some fate....best experience we both have ever had..besides falling in love of course. We are so lucky to have found Shyla.. "fate is why she's here"
