He likes everything, but he thinks frozen vegetables are super exciting treats. Green beans? Nirvana.

Arrival Story:
Arlo is a Carolina Dog (aka American Dingo) which makes him one of the few "primitive breeds" that haven't been selectively bred by people--he's an all-natural dog! He was a stray who was picked up by Animal Control along with his sister. He was rescued from the pound by A New Beginning, who fostered him for several months, and then I adopted him from them when he was about seven months old. If you are thinking about getting a dog, Arlo would like to ask you to consider a rescue like him and to please, please not support puppy mills and other exploitative breeding practices.

Bio:
Arlo is shy around new people, but he loves meeting new dogs. At home, he's the ideal pack member: affectionate, calm, attentive, trainable, playful, but also patient and good natured when dumb siblings steal his toys and/or bite his ankles. When he grows up he wants to be an agility champion or expert rescue dog. But for now he will settle for learning to swim (right now he just races around in the shallows and looks wistful when the retrievers paddle out past him) and catching his first squirrel (sooooo close...wait for it...waaaaaait for it....)
