Dagger LOVES to eat! He also enjoys swimming and getting petted.
He doesn't really have any. He's just one big happy dog!
He likes soft chew toys
Loves everything, but especially likes whip cream and EZ cheez
Near water, so he can swim, too
Ta-Da (take a bow), gives 5 and hi 5, and jumps into my arms
After losing my first Lab to bone cancer, I couldn't even begin to look at another Lab for a long time. I got Phoenix (my border collie) from rescue, and about a year and a half later, I got Dagger from a really great litter of black Lab puppies. I wasn't really looking for another Lab at the time, but the breeding was so good, that I just couldn't pass him up.
Dagger is currently competing in the Masters level of AKC and USDAA Agility. He loves people and meeting other dogs, and is such a big help around the house picking up things that fall on the floor and getting the newspaper every morning. He thinks he's a lap dog and will climb into my lap when I'm watching TV.
If you can't eat it, what good is it???

My mom, my brother Phoenix (he's the really handsome border collie) and my sorta stepdad and I just got back from a really nice (but WAY too short) trip to the mountains of Western North Carolina. We have some buddies who live near Asheville that are a couple of yellow Labs and they have the coolest place to live!
We go visit them a couple of times a year and they have their own pond! Here in Florida, where I live, we don't get many opportunities to swim because almost any place where there's water that's bigger than a mud puddle has a gator in it. Mom is always worried that a gator is gonna get us, since we have a hard time staying out of the water if she's not watching (she almost ALWAYS is watching!). But when we're visiting Cabby and Brooke, we get to swim every day. Mom and her friend Linda throw tennis balls and bumpers in the pond and we all race to the pond and jump in to see who can be the first to grab one! It's lots of fun and really good exercise. Mom found out that Cabby is really a cousin of mine after she looked at this paper that says who all of our relatives are - I think she calls it a pet-agree. Anyway, Cabby and I have a great time playing tug-o'-war with anything we can, and a lot of times we both have the same bumper in our mouth when we retrieve it from the pond. Cabby's 1 year younger than me, and we have a great time wrestling and playing bite-face and growlies. Cabby's older brother, Brooke, doesn't like playing with him because he has arthur-itis, whatever that is. I think it just means that he's grumpy or something.
We also got to go on some really cool geocaching adventures in the mountains. On one day we had to cross 3 streams, so of course that meant we got to go in the water SIX times since we came back the same way. It was great! No gators, no snakes, no sharks - and mom didn't worry about us getting hurt. We got to find these boxes of stuff out in the woods using GPS units. I don't really understand much about that stuff, but all I know is when we get to go geocaching, we have a great time exploring. The weather up in the mountains was a little bit cooler than it is in Florida, so that was a nice change.
Well, that's all for now! I'll write again when I have more to say..........
