She comes when she is called... and she listens to me... fancy that... a good pit bull.... People walk into our house and say "my dog would never be that calm"... she is great with children, loves other dogs and is great with puppies!
Arrival Story:
Well..... Slappy was on death row at ACC in SF. She had 2 days left when we went to see her. She was a SPAZZZZZ.... she was slamming herself against the walls and made no eye contact. Apparently they don't walk "pit bulls" at ACC, so this poor angel had been in her kennel for almost 2 months without any human interaction (her foot pads were softer than my hands :( )... During her traumatic day of running into walls and after getting sprayed by a high pressure hose, she loosened the stitches on her recent surgery to fix her. That night her guardian angel Anne found her laying in a puddle of her own blood with her entire stomach and intestines laying on the ground next to her. Anne shoved her insides back in and drove her to Pets Unlimited, where she received a surgery that saved her life. Cindy (Reunion Rescue) worked very hard making sure they didn't put poor Slap to sleep and thanks to her persistence she lived through the ordeal. I picked her up 2 days later, and we nursed her back to life. Its been hard, she has to eat 3 meals a day, and poops 3 times a day, due to losing 3 feet of intestines. On top of the various classes Slap has graduated from (Bob Guiterez, a better way dog training in SF) Basic Puppy classes to Aggression Training... She is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and everyday i am so thankful that she didnt die before i had a chance to be her mom.
Bio:
Slappy has become the best dog ever... she has surpassed the dogs my family members have raised since puppy hood and is so good off-leash we have total strangers commending me on my dogs training. Its been hard, but dont ever feel like giving up on a dog... just do what you have to do, and when they turn 3, you will have yourself a good dog :) I love mine so much... it pains me to think about it :) :) :)

In the KC area there was a vicious attack on a couple people just last month. It has basically started a pit bull witch hunt. People are looney about it, blaming only the breed not the drug dealing, on the lamb owners who hadnt fed all three dogs in over a week. They started this website

They basically slander all of us, and use a ton of false information. All their facts are untrue... they use the emotional pictures of the man bitten in the recent attack as "proof' that the dogs are blood thirsty. They got a petition going that has over 2000 signatures to ban pit bulls. We are starting our own... please help the kansas city area... we cannot lose our dogs, and we cannot lose this battle....
Please sign my petition against breed specific laws... Slappy thanks you!
