Lizards and broken collars

I have been very busy doing my dog things and haven't had time to do an entry in a while. Where should I start? Well, Mama A and I have been going on walks almost every day. Thursdays are the best because the firemen wash their truck on that day, and we get to walk by and see them. They are nice to me (and nice to see).
A lizard came into the house a few weeks ago. I grabbed it and threw it behind the sofa. Its not my fault it decided to run up into the sofa. Mama A and Mama D were not happy with me because it took a while for them to find it and get it out of the house. Dumb lizard shouldn't have come inside to begin with. Next time I will throw it outside.
On Tuesday, Mama A was doing some yard work on the side of the house and she had me outside with her on my tether. Another dog was walking by with its person, and I wanted to go over and say hello, but I was tied to the fence. So I pulled really hard and popped my collar off and ran across the street to see the other dog. Mama A came chasing after me, apologizing to the person and saying I wasn't a mean dog. I wasn't being mean, I just wanted to see the other dog. After I went inside the house, Mama A was mad at me because I had broken my collar. Oh well. I was getting tired of that collar anyway. I have a nice bright red one now.
Tomorrow I am going to the doggie spa for a bubble bath and facial. If mom takes pictures, I will have her put them up on my page. She's says I look cute with my blueberry facial all over my face.
That's all for now. Stay cool. Its supposed to be hot tomorrow. WOOF!

Year in Review

I haven't updated my diary in a while. I have been very busy doing many things, that unless you're a dog, you wouldn't understand. I decided to take a minute from my very busy social schedule and discuss 2007.
It has been a very big year for me. I had a bit part in a real Hollywood movie, that unfortunately, mostly ended up on the cutting room floor. But I had the opportunity to experience the movie star lifestyle I am so deserving of. It was nice.
Then, I took part in a fashion show for Mama A's work. Now I'm not one to dress up in clothes and prance around like I'm a Versace model. Far from it, I would rather play football with the kids at the high school. But Mama A took me to work with her and I ended up wearing a few outfits and snapping a few pictures and walking the dogwalk a few times. I also got to spend time with Riley, the cute little boy-toy who's mama is friends with my mama. I like him a lot, even though he is shorter then me and I usually like British dogs.
I had my picture published in a book called "World's Cutest Pets From Around the World". There are actually two picyures of me in it, and Riley also has a picture in it.
I got to spend some time with Aunt Pati while Mama A and Mama D went to Mexico. Aunt Pati stayed over and we had a good ol' time, going on walks, playing ball, stealing food, it was fun. I didn't really want to go to Mexico because the food is so spicy, so I'm glad I was able to stay and spend time with my tia.
I also made a new friend named Mackey. He is an American Bulldog and his mama works with Mama A. He likes to jump a lot, which I'm cool with, as long as he doesn't jump on me.
I made out good this Christmas with a really good haul of toys. Most of them are now shredded but I still enjoyed them. I got this giant reindeer head that made these weird noises when you shook it, so that one was the first to get ripped up, so I could see what was inside. I also got my favorite stinky face bones from Cousin Perry. I think she was trying to make up for the carpet incident at Thanksgiving.
Well, the year is over, I'm another year older and another year more spoiled, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm hoping 2008 has more visits to the fire station so I can visit my firemen friends, maybe another movie or I might even try some TV. I hope all my friends, animal and human, have a safe New Year's Eve and a great 2008. I hope to see you all during the year. Woof!

Random Kona-copia

There was thunder last night. I wasn't interested. Fireworks make the same noise and at least there is something to look at.
I tore my red candy cane toy apart. Mama A kept tapping the top of my head with it. Now she can't. Ha ha at her.
Cousin Poo-Poo Perry gave me a bunch of bags of turkey jerky. Mama A hides them from me because she says I can't have it all at once. Its mine and I'm entitled. I will find them.
The firemen were up the street today. I like the firemen. They pay attention to me and I give them kisses. Maybe they will let me ride in their truck.
That's all for today. I have mayhem to cause.

Everytime I have to go to the vet, Mama A tries to play music I like during the car ride over. Usually its U2 or Neil Diamond. Today, I have a new favorite song - Fergalicious. I had never heard this song before and when it came on Mama's iPod, I had to listen. Mama D swears she saw me bobbing my head up and down in time to the music. It made me so happy. Now I want to sing - Konalicious! Its hot hot!

Petco Photo Shoot

On Friday, Mom took me to work with her and I participated in a photo shoot. Petco is holding fashion shows on March 3 in their stores, and they had a few of us dogs dress up and pose for pictures. I met Tommy the Rottie and got to hang out with my friend Riley, the corgi-mix. If you visit www.petconews.com, and look for the story titled "Fido and Fashion What a Great Combo", you can see me wearing my blue-striped AC/DC t-shirt, and Riley in his yellow raincoat. We look cute strutting on the catwalk. i think they should rename it the dogwalk instead!

There is a mouse on my premises. It taunts me practically every day. I shall catch this mouse, and have it relocate to its own house. There is not enough room for me and a mouse. No way, no how. It must go. I am on the hunt, so beware rodent.

My new baby

I received a lot of toys for Christmas this year, but my favorite has to be my new "baby". My baby is pink and fuzzy with long dangling legs, black ears and nose, and for some reason a red tail. I have been taking my baby everywhere - over to my food dish, outside in the backyard, all my nap spots, and just today, I took my baby out on the front porch to say hi to Mama A when she came home from work. I like to groom my baby and share all my toys. Mama D was squeezing my baby and he made a strange squeeking noise. I ran over and took him safely out of her reach, so she wouldn't squeeze him anymore. I really love my new baby. We're going to be together for a long time.

If you live in the San Diego area, I will be on the KUSI moring news on Monday, December 18. Some of my other animal friends will be there also - Buster, Riley and Ted. They are doing a segment on holiday pet gift giving, and we are going to be there. It should be fun. Hope you can watch!

Neil Diamond

I was in the car the other day, and a song came on that I really liked. I sat and listened quietly, and when it was over, I whined until mom put another song on by the same artist. It wasn't U2, even though I like them too. It was Neil Diamond. He had a nice voice and I liked listening to him sing. It made me forget that we were going to the vet's office. Maybe mom will make me a mix tape of U2 and Neil Diamond.

I met one of my pup pals

I went to J Street Marina on Friday, and got to meet one of my pup pals, June. It went pretty well, considering no one was sure how I was going to act. Mama A said I got jealous and that is why I snapped at June a couple of times. I'm just not used to other dogs being around. I wasn't trying to be rude, it just happened. June tried to clean my ears too. Its like she knew there was something wrong with them. I know she wanted to play more, but like I said, I'm not used to other dogs yet. Maybe if we meet more often, we will get used to each other and play more. Overall, I think it went well, and I was pretty excited to meet a friend.
