Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

April 10th 1998

He LOVES bath time! He also likes to lick the poultry flavored toothpaste off of his toothbrush, hanging on people's shoes when they're trying to walk, pooping where he isn't supposed to poop. He also likes to lay his stinky self on clean, warm laundry

Car rides, (no matter where we take him, he always thinks he's going to the vet) other dogs that bark at him, having his teeth brushed (he likes the toothpaste, but not the toothbrush), and having to go outside when it's raining.

Favorite Toy:
He keeps it simple when it comes to toys. All Odie needs are rawhide bones and his rope toys.

Favorite Food:
My prescription diet dog food. Yummy! And of course, he l0ves people food, although he doesn't get to eat any these days. He grazes the kitchen floor for a chance at finding a few crumbs.

Favorite Walk:
Down by the creek. He likes to eat the weeds out there and smell the other doggie's poop!

Best Tricks:
Sitting, and that's about it!

Odie passed away on June 16, 2015. He was 17 years and 2 months old. He was my BFF that whole time. In his older years he lost his eyesight and developed kidney failure, but he kept going and went strong for a long time. Kidney failure caught up with him though and his cognitive function declined, but he was content, comfortable, and chowing down on his delicious baby food and loving his pill pockets until the end. While I know he had a good, long life, I can't help but be sad that he's no longer here by my side. RIP little buddy. You were the best little curmudgeon dog anyone could ever ask for.

Today is Odie's 12th birthday. I'm so glad that he is doing great in his senior years. He acts the same and has about the same energy level that he's always had, which is pretty high. He's getting some gray hair around his mouth, but other than that you wouldn't know he was a 12 year old. :) To celebrate his birthday we got him some chewie sticks and some special treats. He was pleased although he doesn't know what this birthday thing is all about. You'd think he'd know by now, being 12 and all.

Hey guys,

I have some good news! My legs haven't had many problems lately. The vet man told me to help my legs out, I should lose some weight. Well guess what? I lost half a pound! I have to eat prescription diet doggie food now, but it's pretty tasty. I'm so proud of myself! Thanks John Basedow!
