Arrival Story:
Saw her in a pet store. She was really cute. But, I told myself I didn't need anymore pets. I went back an hour later and bought her. She had been marked down because she was four months old. She was very nervous. When she saw Gus Bear, the Norweigian Elkhound I had at the time, she started wagging her tail.
Bio:
6/20/2005 Elka became very ill today. She was weak and vomiting. When I got her to the vet, her temperature was 106.1. They packed her in ice and gave her IV fluids while waiting on lab results. After hours of waiting, the lab results were't good and her temperature was still 105.9. I held her in my arms while the vet gave her the final injection. I promised her she would be free of pain and I would see her again. She was with me for just over fourteen years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
