Arrival Story:
My boyfriend (now husband) and I already had one dog, "Harley", and we wanted to get him a companion. We both really wanted a Boxer, so one day we decided to hit all of the local shelters to see if we could find one. We went to three, with no luck. At the third, and last shelter, I spotted this adorable brown ball of fur all curled up in the corner of a cage with 6 or 7 full grown dogs. I pointed her out to my husband, I knew he really liked Pointers too. We decided to look at all of the dogs first, but obviously we went back to her. We took her out to a play area in the back of the shelter, and fell in love with her immediately. She was like a little Energizer Bunny, way too much energy for one puppy. My boyfriend whistled, and she came running and jumped right on his lap. I knew right then that we were going home with a brand new puppy.
Bio:
Yes, Brodey is a boy's name, but if you knew our Brodey you would know that no feminine name would fit her.
Brodey was dropped off at the County Shelter in the middle of the night with no note, so we really do not know why someone gave her up. We sure are glad they did though. She was around 6 months old when we got her.
