My parents had asked me what I wanted when I graduated from college, and I told them a dog. Especially since I was moving to a strange town and going to be living by myself for the first time. Once I got settled into Sacramento, I started looking in the local newspaper. I ran across an add from a woman who had taken in a pregnant stray dog. It said that there were a variety of puppies in the litter and she wasn't really sure what they were, but she was selling them for $10.00. My boyfriend (now husband) and I decided to check them out. When we got there, there was only one puppy left. We took one look at him and had to have him. He looked just like a Baby Polar Bear. He was so... scared, he hid under their kitchen table the whole time we were there. It was really hard taking him away from his Mom, but we knew we could give him a good home. When we got him home, he was so sad, he missed his Mom, he just hid under our end table. Once we got through that day, he started warming up and soon he became the Biggest Momma's Boy ever. He never left my side.
