Arrival Story:
My husband and I had 2 dogs from the shelter who lived to be 15 and 16 years od age. The dog that lived to be 16, was a Dachshund-Corgi mix and the most loyal, sweet dog we every had. When we had to put her down on Good Friday 2003, we decided to begin looking for puppies at breeders. We made the decision to get a pure miniature Dachshund and a pure Pembroke Corgi. We have not been disappointed.

Jag is an incredibly playful Corgi. She will retrieve a ball all day long if we let her. She bounces the ball right by our feet until we throw it. She doesn't really like loud noises, but is doing better with some of them so I hope she's growing out of that phase. As soon as we get home from work Jag brings one of her many balls over to us and our job the rest of the evening is to play with her by tossing the ball into another room and allowing her to retrieve it or doing to same outside. She loves to watch TV and when she even sees a dog on the screen she starts barking at it. Her hearing is very very very good. Jag also LOVES water. In the summer she will splash all the water out of her bowl or stand in her water bowl. She loves swimming and blowing bubbles in the water! We're looking forward to being able to bring her to the local lake. She has changed color since getting her in June, but she still is a very beautiful dog.

Jag wanted to dog right into the lobster last year. I'm sure she will be even more eager this year. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The long trip home

We traveled 5 hours to pick up Jag from her breeder. Not knowing what to expect and knowing that the ride would be a long one, we took Beemer's fence and put it in the back of the van with a bed. Jag was very good on the 5 hours trip and when we stopped at rest areas a couple of times, she knew exactly what her "job" was while outside the van. She a Beemer played in the car and became best friends right away.
