This dog is precious. She is loving and smart. I never met a dog who learns so easily. I understand this breed can be a little headstrong. She has been very cooperative.

Christine was 16 and having a lot of problems: bad back and hips, panting all the time and pain meds didn't seem to help. She never complained but did not want to do much. When she got the fifth urinary tract infection within a year, I knew I couldn't ask her to keep going on for me. She was always the best of companions. She was smart and the easiest dog I ever trained. She always walked at heel even in the dog park! She will be missed not only by me but by a lot of friends in our building who enjoyed her calm and friendly manner.

We moved to an active seniors community in the winter of 2009. Mom is busier than ever. But we have lots of new friends, humans and dogs. There are lots of dogs here. But everyone says I am the best because I don't bark, I walk at heel and and I let anyone who wants to pet me and I don't jump on them. Some people even bring treats to the lobby and wait for me to come in from a walk. Our new home has walking trails, fountains and ponds.

I have a new little person to love me. She is nine years old. Mom's roomate is adopting her because she is a relative and her mother died last year. That is part of the reason Mom has to move out. She is really good at belly rubs!
