Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: May 25th 2001
Likes: playing ball, long walks on cool nights and short walks (many) on hot days or nights. I also like it when my owner is home all day.

Pet-Peeves: I can't stand taking a bath or shower, I prefer to walk around puddles. I don't like getting drops or creams placed into my eyes either.

Favorite Toy: I have tons of balls, a large rope to chew on (though the smaller ones are easier for me to rip apart), Squeaky dragon, my porcupine, my cousin Belle and my mom!

Favorite Food: Carrots, ice cubes, strawberries, cherries, pasta, pizza, chicken, fish, beef, pork. Hey! Anything that is edible by humans-I eat too.

Favorite Walk: I love crowded streets, so many people! I love to sniff around all the parks in my area and sniff all the new dudes in town.

Best Tricks: Imitatating a human's hearty laugh, I can tell you when I have to go out too by taking a plastic bag and throwing it on the floor next to you.If you dance, I dance on my hind legs with you.

Arrival Story: I previously had a black lab and still was waiting for my best friend to breed her black lab again so that they would be sisters. Unfortunately my black lab, Megan, died 8 months before Keisha was born. Nevertheless, I wanted Keisha, and was bestowed with a beautiful gentle white lab (when she was born). Now she is a strawberry blonde and just as gentle.

Bio: For the longest time, my mom kept telling the vets I was depressed!!! I was lethargic, slept about 20 hours out of a day, one vet even thought I had hip dysplasia (even my mom argued with her that we could go back 4 generations into my lab history-no dysplasia). Finally, her cousin told her about her vet and sent us off. She figured it out....and a blood test confirmed the dx: Hypothyroid.
So, I took some pills that gave me energy like 'Atomic Energy' I felt I could run a marathon. I almost killed her mother chasing after a ghost in the park! It was fun, I felt high. Then they took me off those pills and put me on human synthroid. I Knew I was HUMAN!! So now they say I am up to speed (hrh), I have even lost weight and am getting noticed by the guys on the block.

Keisha has gotten her ANGEL wings and now guards the entrance gates to heaven welcoming all those who will pass after her.
May gold dust always be sprinkled in her fur for us to recognize her from afar. Peaceful dreams, sweet pea.

Keisha was the love of my livelihood and it has taken some time to move on. She was special and she knew it.
I am so happy that I found this site (actually found it just after my own mother died), and enjoy reading bio's from all the dogs here. Coming here, ascertains that I will get another dog in my lifetime. I love the Dog Diaries, they keep in stitches.

Keisha was the life of the party, eager to dance with anyone, culinary inclined to taste-test any tidbit and, always ready to work off the calories with a round of balls, catch and throw (which she performed perfectly).
Today, we celebrate her life. She was the most loyal and dedicated companion, friend, jokester I have ever known. She was my one and only true love of my life. With sadness, cancer has claimed her healthy and joyful gait as she walked every evening with me for an hour - I relieving my work stress and she picking up all the scents of the day.
This morning I told her that today was HER day and WE would be sharing it with all who came in contact with her, for her loving and caring ways. A farewell party is in order.
To all those that came to know her, Godspeed, she'll wait for us on the other side.
Keisha and Keisha's Mom.
