Arrival Story:
They say that the only bad thing about Shelties is that once you get one, you want another one. Well, this definately applied to my mom! She always wanted a second sheltie--from a few months after we got Mayzie, until the point where we got Bailey. My mom was always looking, but after my grandma died (my mom was an only child, and my grandma was her everything) my mom felt she needed someone. Mayzie's favorite had become my dad and my older brother, and she didn't seem to care too much for my mom. (Well, she did, my mom just didn't think that way.) So on Christmas 2004, my mom (knowing we couldn't afford another Sheltie) went onto Mayzie's breeder's website. Now, my mom had been keeping in touch with Janet by sending her pictures and everything, so Janet knew how good of a home we are. At the bottom of the "New Puppies" page (You had to scroll down a bit) was Bailey. His owner couldn't take care of him anymore, and wanted to find a good home. Immediately my mom and I fell inlove with his blue eyes, and since we were the only 2 home at the moment, my mom made me open up AOL and send his owner an email. 1 week later my mom, her friend, my sister, and I were in a van off to Pitsburgh to get Bailey!
