We'll miss you Judy!

On Monday, my co-breeder, and former owner passed away. Although I was looking forward to a possible visit with her at the Montgomery show, it was never to be. I just wanted to say thanks for giving me a fantastic start in life and training me so well. My mommy will miss your phone chats too.

Way to go Wicked!!

Yesterday my brother Wicked, or Junior as he likes to be called, won Best of Breed at Westminster. I got to see him represent the Cairn Terriers last night on TV! We are SO proud of him!!

Boy, I've really slacked off on this journal writing stuff, haven't I? Well, it's been a busy year. I've been with my new family for just over a year now and I absolutely love it here. There are SO many birds to chase and I've made some wonderful dog friends in the neighborhood. A couple of weeks ago I got to see my breeder for the first time since I came to live in my new home. He was at a dog show near my home, so Mom and I went out to see him and cheer him on. He won BOB both days!! We're so proud. Sometimes I wish Mommy would show me too, as it looks like a lot of fun, but she says that I'm now "fixed" and can't be shown. She promises me that we'll give agility a try. Oh boy - can't wait!!

Today Tucker came over for some serious play time at my house. Tucker loves to go in the swimming pool, while I'm a little afraid of it. He ran in nearly 10 times, fetching the ball that was tossed in the pool. I thought perhaps I would try getting on a pool float and checking things out from there. However Tucker swam out to the float and climbed on, rocking the thing all over the place and getting lots of water on it. Men! I didn't like it one bit since he kept moving around fearlessly and I was afraid I was going to fall off. Mom came and rescued me though..... after taking more pictures!

Had another play date with Tucker the other day. I hope this is going to be a regular thing! I just love it.

Tonight mom dressed me in a pink doggie baseball cap and a matching scarf. I hated it and just froze there motionless. It was the most humiliating thing I've ever done. THEN she goes and takes pictures. I don't understand what her problem is, but I can assure you I won't be doing this again without a fight.

7-16-05

Today I got to go to my cousin's baseball game. I think I really like going to baseball games...... there are SO many kids there and they all love me. I'm glad there were no other dogs at the game so I could have all the kids to myself. My cousin Sara took me for a little walk, however it didn't last too long because mom said that if a bird came by that I would have taken off after it and little Sarah would have fallen and got hurt.... plus if she let go of my leash I could have run in to the street chasing the bird. This wouldn't be a problem if the birds were smart enough to stay away from the roads! I mean, really!

7-14-05

Today was our last day of class. Lola missed this class and I was quite sad, but held my own during play time with the bigger boys. Mom loves to watch me play with the other dogs. She even let me play with Tucker (from across the street) off leash the other day and I did just great. I think Tucker and I are going to be great friends.

7-4-05

Yesterday mom and dad went to a cookout at Aunt Maureen's house and brought me with them. Maureen dosn't like animals, so I will have to be on my best behavior. Mommy says that I'm part of the family, so I'm coming to the family cookout and that's that! I was such a perfect lady today, playing with the kids and licking everyone's feet from under the table. I'm not sure everyone appreciated it, but they all thought I was wonderful anyway. I have this game that I play at big gatherings.... I look for the most sloppy person there, and I hang out by their feet. Usually if I can spot a 3 year old, I'm golden, and thankfully there were 3 kids between the ages of 3 and 4, so I ate very well.

Today there was a cookout at my new home. We had such a fun time. Mom & Dad's friends came over with their two boys. They loved playing with me, but spent most of their time in the pool. However mom held me every chance she had. I just love it here.

7-2-05

Today was a glorious day. Today my mommy discovered that I love to chase the stream of water as it comes out of the hose. I barked, growled, grunted, snarled my teeth, and did every other crazy thing I could think of. It was SO much fun! I did manage to get all wet, but I don't care. I'll just roll around on the furniture when I get inside and dry off!

Today mom went to a store called PetEdge and bought me TONS and TONS of toys. She forced me to pose in a photo with lots of them and had me sit really still. Oh the torture! However I got to play with them after the photo shoot was over, so it was well worth it. I took a laughing hippo and ripped his ear off in a mater of 8.3 seconds. This is going to be lots of fun!!!
