Likes: Destroying squeaky toys, playing ball, licking your ankles, chasing birds, and chewing cow hooves
Pet-Peeves: The vacuum cleaner - she believes it is most certainly the enemy and must be destroyed!
Favorite Toy: Hide-a-squirrel
Favorite Food: Canidae with a splash of salmon oil - Yummy!
Favorite Walk: The 5:15 am one mile loop around the neighborhood
Best Tricks: For commands, she will sit, heel, wait, give kisses. She catches treats and her ball in mid air, often doing acrobatic jumps to get them. She also likes to "surf" by jumping on anything you might be dragging.... blanket, towel, etc. Super cute!
Arrival Story: I had been looking for just the right Cairn for many months, when I guess I was just in the right place at the right time and came upon this darling little girl through a wonderful breeder I had been working with. (Thank you Joe and Judy!) He knew just what I was looking for, and it's almost like she was custom made for me! It was love at first sight! Although she appears quite mellow with all her photos of her lounging or sleeping, don't let her fool you. It's just the only time she's sitting still long enough to be photographed!
The Groups I'm In: Cairn Talk
I've Been On Dogster Since:
On Monday, my co-breeder, and former owner passed away. Although I was looking forward to a possible visit with her at the Montgomery show, it was never to be. I just wanted to say thanks for giving me a fantastic start in life and training me so well. My mommy will miss your phone chats too.
Yesterday my brother Wicked, or Junior as he likes to be called, won Best of Breed at Westminster. I got to see him represent the Cairn Terriers last night on TV! We are SO proud of him!!
Boy, I've really slacked off on this journal writing stuff, haven't I? Well, it's been a busy year. I've been with my new family for just over a year now and I absolutely love it here. There are SO many birds to chase and I've made some wonderful dog friends in the neighborhood. A couple of weeks ago I got to see my breeder for the first time since I came to live in my new home. He was at a dog show near my home, so Mom and I went out to see him and cheer him on. He won BOB both days!! We're so proud. Sometimes I wish Mommy would show me too, as it looks like a lot of fun, but she says that I'm now "fixed" and can't be shown. She promises me that we'll give agility a try. Oh boy - can't wait!!
