Leave a bone for Hank

Nicknames: Hankiepoo, Hankster, Tennis Ball Dog

Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 3rd 2004
Likes: Tennis ball, the Chuckit -- which launches the tennis ball further -- and water + the tennis ball. Also likes shadows, which he chases relentlessly. Also likes the laser pointer and flashlights, which he also chases relentlessly. Any moving object.

Pet-Peeves: Not being able to play ball, chase shadows and light, or chew rawhide.

Favorite Toy: Tennis ball.

Favorite Food: would eat rawhide day in day out if it had enough nutrients. Also likes lettuce -- again, not very nutritious. Likes his Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and likes GREENIES, meaty bones, marrowbones, and veggies

Favorite Walk: The walk to the yard or the park to play fetch with the tennis ball

Best Tricks: Chase tail (will bark at it while chasing it) and jump. Jump variations with tennis ball. Knows to go find the ball in the yard when we ask, "Where's the ball?" Ball is his favorite word.

Arrival Story: Hank was at the humane society with his brothers, sisters and mommy who had been found real close to a county road. His mommy was so mean she had to be put to sleep after her pups were weaned. All his brothers and sisters were fluffy and mean, but Hank seemed real laid back and was the cutest of the crowd. We brought him home and found out he was not a 'laid back' dog, but we still love him. As Hank gets older, his obssession with tennis balls increases. We are considering an intervention headed by his sister, Lucy, who is so content to sleep on the couch all day.

Bio: Hank is a 24/7 kinda dog. We make him chase his tail at night just to try and get him tired -- and this after about 2-3 hours of tennis ball throwing on a good day. We think we got him in too good of shape the first summer of his puppyhood. He competed with grown labs over fetching the tennis ball at the lake -- our lake buddies all had labs and we had this hound-terrier-mutt mix that ended up being an excellent swimmer. (His tail's as long as his body, and his body's kinda long too).

Forums Motto: Where's the ball?
