It's Wet Out There!

Nothing to do but get some beauty sleep. Some stupid hurrycane thing called Arlene made it get wet and muddy outside. My Mom lets me go out, but then I have to do that dumb "sit down and wipe your paws" thing every time I come in. She won't play ball because it gets her all durrrtee.
One good thing about days like this though, Mom feels bad for me so she's pretty easy to con into giving me extra treats. I've already had a crunchy chewy thing, a brown crunchy thing, and some slimey white meat stuff.
Guess I'll go lie down by the see-through hard thing that lets you outside. Those cats may come back and I can scare them by cracking my head trying to get at them. It makes a loud noise.

The Butt Whisperer

You ever notice how it's the furface one that can't talk that gets blamed for stuff?

I don't have any problem taking credit for my own personal toots and poots - but don't blame me for yours! I mean REALLY! There is absolutely no comparison!

Next time one of you 2 leggers blame me for one of your gas-driven aromatherapy sessions - I'm going directly to the point of origin and standing at point. You can just call me the butt whisperer.

Try blaming it on me then!

In my neighborhood

It's usually pretty boring in my neighborhood. Mom made it more exciting for me today - she threw the leftover popcorn out in the yard (where I can't reach it ) - but the good news is - it gave me lots and lots of birds to bark at! I finally got them all barked away. It took me a few hours though.

Since school is out I have some other things to bark at. Kids. I like kids.
They left me lick them and they usually taste pretty good. They don't wash their hands much. My neighbor boy Zack comes over to play with sometimes. He usually brings a friend. They'll throw the ball for me for hours. Yesterday though, he brought a friend and he brought 2 little cats (Mom called them kittens). I could only look at them from inside - but Mom got to hold them. They aren't all that - believe me. They acted scared to death (and I didn't even bark at them or sniff them). They had creepy stuff coming out their noses too. I'm not a big kitten fan - unless it's for supper . Mom NEVER lets me have kitten for supper.

I had to go try on some new stuff for Mom and Judy's dog store. They're going to try selling on ebay. I didn't do so good - so they're using a stuffed dog this time.

The Gardener

I like the gardener. He makes the grass short and makes the fleas go away.
I don't like that noisy machine he uses though. Maybe if he'd let me ride on it too ... hmmm, how do I get him to do that.
He keeps my yard clean too - he scoops up my poop. I don't know what he does with it. What could he do with it? Is there a market for dog poop? Poop is a very interesting subject among my dog friends. Who eats it, who doesn't. Who's poop smells best - yappa yappa yappa.
The gardener lets me lick him too (but don't tell Mom). He's always sweaty and tastes really salty. Sometimes when he cools himself off with the hose - he'll squirt me with it too. I think he really likes me. He even shared his lunch with me one day. Yah, I'm pretty sure he likes me.

Dog Days of Summer

Wow - summer is really here ===SO why am I still wearing this FUR COAT!!???
Mom - it's HOT OUT THERE!!
We got up early this morning so I could watch those early birds and their worms. It's a lot cooler and I can run around and play. Then mom lets me stay during the hot part of the day inside where it's VERY cool.

Did ya'll see that Welsh Terriers are the breed of the week? BbbREAD all about it! And .. *coughs modestly* - Did you notice who the Welsh example is? YAP YAP! it's little ole me! No pawtographs please ... I'm just a simple terrier - in charge of my part of the world (and yours if I happen to visit there)

Mom got her Dogster Tshirt for her the other day. She's going to wear it to a car show today - watch out dogster - you may get some new members today!
Oh boy .. new pup pals for me too!
