Arrival Story:
We found Kai at a Petstore, she had been returned by another owner :( We loved her immediately, and took her home with us. Her original name was Kylie, but we figured it would be mixed up with my daughter's name, so we shortened it to Kai.

Bio:
She's a true Daddy's dog. My husband had an Elkhound as a kid and he really loved the breed. Turns out that Kai is just as loving and smart as his dog was. Since we got a new Elkhound, he's her new obsession. She's an old pro at the wrestling circuit and doesn't hesitate to show her (bigger)younger brother how to lay on the ground and submit! She loves to go to the dog parks and check all the other dogs out. She is like a traffic cop...no one is allowed to horse around while she's on the beat.
