Tag! You're it!

I've been tagged by Helga!!!

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!?

1. I have one broked ear; it always flops no matter what.

2. My 3 favourite people are Mummy, Daddy & Nanna.

3. My favourite food is a raw bone!

4. Despite my small stature, I am the world’s best and fastest ball chaser!

5. I am in a permanent state of tummy rub whenever Nanna comes near me.

6. Whenever my Mum goes out without us (not often, but you know this work thing gets in the way) she always leaves us with entertainment (Harry Potter audio books or Animal Planet) so we have company. Lately we’ve been able to go to Nanna’s every single day though (normally we go Tuesdays and Thursdays) as Rockie needs constant looking after (being a sicky bubby)!

7. Mummy couldn’t love me more if I was a hoo-man baby! :o)

Off to tag...

A love story worthy of the Notebook!

I can’t believe that it was a year ago today that my Amour, Willie, posted a picture wishing for a valentine… well really, what girl could resist such a face and such a kind heart?? Today now, after he said yes to being my Valentine then, is our one year Anniversary, and we are now officially engaged! Willie asking my paw in marriage was one of the happiest moments of my life since he has been my rock and support through many changes in my life, including our most recent move back to Australia, and the support he and his Mommy gave both me and my brother and our Mummy during our time apart. Not only has he been super supportive, but he has supported us too by involving the whole Dogster community and encouraging their support of us too while we were away and there has therefore been a light at the end of the tunnel for our parents when they were missing us so much. Willie is the kindest, most generous Amour a girl could ever hope or wish upon a star for, I am truly thankful that he came to be such a huge and important part of my life, and that he in turn feels the same! Thank you Wilster, Luf Always! And HAPPY FIRST ANNIVERSARY!!!

Love is...

* Your daughter being of the short furry variety
* Getting out of bed 1 hour earlier than necessary to play ball just because it's her very favourite thing to do

* Having outfits for all occasions
* Finding out that your sole mate is of the 8 pound variety
* Globe trotting WITH your best friend

Only 5 sleeps till my 4th Birthday! Hooray! I love birthday's, especially mine as I get totally, totally spoilt! I know one of my pressies already, it'll be my Bling as made by Milo's Mummy! (See Milo at his page here: ) But I'm not sure what else Mum is going to get me, maybe I should put in a request list like we do with Santa?

Dear Mummy,

For my 4th birthday I'm very excited to have my Bling! If possible, could I also have:

1) A squirrel! (If you can manage it? I've not been able to catch one and I'm way faster than you!)
2) A squeeky toy that I can dump on your chest at 5 in the morning to play with!
3) A bully stick, yummmm (Rockie can have one too I suppose)
4) Hot chicken for dinner!

Thanks Mummy, you're the bestest,

Luf, Bee xox

My Ruff Week

What a week I had last week. I was a sicky bubby!!! All week even though I’d been my usual sprightly self, I couldn’t keep any dinner down, so Mum decided it was time for me to go to the vets (yuck!). Turns out I had a stomach blockage which was stopping any dinner (or water for that matter) from going down and as such I had a Kidney Infection!! So poor me, I had to stay overnight in the hospital with a drip in my paw (which despite repeated attempts at removing it for easier escape home only resulted in me getting a cone on my head too – the injustice!) and was placed on medicines to help break down the blockage in my tummy so that things could start working again. Thankfully by the next evening I was allowed to go home for the night but still with the drip thing in my paw and on strict instructions to be back at the vets the next morning for more X-rays to make sure the mass was still breaking down and for more blood tests to make sure my kidney functions were getting back to normal. Back at the vets they were still too high, but the vet let me stay home thank Dogness - though with 3 types of medicine to take, special food to eat (and no other treats for a week!) and after a little bit more on the drip, they finally took that horrid thing out of my paw too… thankfully because I didn’t want to miss out on any more walks… on the Monday morning before the vets Mum had to carry me around the park in my backpack while Rockie ran around because I couldn’t walk on my paw! (Mum said she looked like a crazy bag lady but at least it gave me fresh air).

To make matters worse for Mum (aside from the fact that the vet has yet to send us the bill for all this, Mum thinks she might quickly move house!) her nasty boss wouldn’t let her have the day off to look after me, despite her working late all the time, never taking a lunch hour and having only taken 1 week (5 days) vacation in a whole year. She wasn’t a happy person I can tell you. At least not all people are as nasty as her boss (who called me “Only a dog” – HOW RUDE!), Mum had lots of supportive pups especially my Amour Willie and his lovely Mommy Joni who were very kind to Mum when she was all upset and even set up a whole thread on the Dogster Plus Forums “My Bee is Sick” to wish me better again!! There are some lovely pups out there!! Mum also had phone calls daily from our family in Australia wishing me better and my Aunty Laura had called to check on me as she told Mum she hadn’t slept all night from worrying about me, I also just yesterday I received my very own Get Well Card from my Great-Gran in England!!

Still Spring is now in the air, I have a new haircut (pictures coming soon!) and even a “Bee’s Bling” Necklace which is an early Birthday present from Mum, it was made especially for me by our pal Milo and his Mommy!! It’s really pretty and makes me look like the Queen Bee that I am!! (Pictures also coming soon!) This is Milo’s page if anyone wants to Pmail his Mom about getting their own special necklaces!!

Happy Spring Pups and thank you all my lovely pals for my get well wishes!

New York buried in White Stuff

Well it's snowing again here in NYC, we thought that we had had the worst of it, but its seem that here we go again. Mind you, not that the snow stops us from going out and about! Why even when we had the "Blizzard of 2006" we were out and playing and even got a mention on CNN...

Monday, February 13, 2006
NEW YORK (CNN) -- Residents were digging out Monday from a winter storm that dumped more than two feet of snow on some parts of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic states, forcing travelers around the country to change their plans
More than 20 inches of snow blanketed some spots from Maryland to New England. In Central Park in New York, a record 26.9 inches of snow piled up Sunday, breaking the mark of of 26.4 inches in December 1947, the National Weather Service said.
(This is the bit where we are...)
On Monday morning, as bright sun gleamed off the Central Park snow, an occasional jogger or dog walker could be seen navigating the icy paths.
One woman who was walking her two tiny dogs said she was still going through her normal routine before work
"Every morning we have to come out and play with the dogs," she said. "We came out [yesterday] here in the park. Dogs need walking no matter what weather it is. They had fun. We had fun. ... We had to carry one because she became a walking snowball." (I'm the walking snowball!)

Who do they think they are calling tiny though?? How rude, I'm a whole 8 pounds and Rockie is 19 pounds!! Goodness me.

I'd also just like to wish my Uncle Tykey in Australia a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! A whole 8 Years old today!!

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people, who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate.

Walkin in a Doggie Wonderland

We got this fabulous little song of our pal Little Doug and his Mommy when they sent us Rockie's Birthday pressie from!! We liked it sooo much we wanted to share it with you all!!

Walkin in a Doggie Wonderland
(sung to the tune of Winter Wonderland)

Dog tags ring, are you listenin’?
In the lane, snow is glistenin’.
It’s yellow, NOT white I’ve been there tonight,
Marking up my winter wonderland.

Smell that tree? That’s my fragrance.
It’s a sign for wandering vagrants;
“Avoid where I pee, it’s MY pro-per-ty!
Marked up as my winter wonderland.”

In the meadow Dad will build a snowman,
following the classical design.
Then I’ll left my leg and let it go Man,
So all the world will know that it’s mine-mine-mine!

Straight from me to the fence post,
flows my natural incense boast;
“Stay off my TURF, this small piece of earth,
I marked it as my winter wonderland!”
