I lost my baby boy today.

I lost my baby boy today. He became very sick over the weekend and today I held him in my arms at the vets and he gave me kisses as if to tell me it was ok. Pete had congestive heart failure and two masses attached to his heart. It is a very sad day, a day I wished would never come, but he lived a wonderful 13 years.

The Beast of all Beasts

(Told by Pete)
It was a pleasant sunny day with whispers of clouds freckling the sky. My person was relaxing on the deck while admiring me. I was in my yard absorbing the beaming rays of the sun. Lazily I turned my head to the west and to my horror this monster of a beast was charging at me. The fangs of the beast are like none other I have witnessed. I must protect my person! Like a cannon ball, I shot over to the deck and shielded my person from any harm. That beast knew it was outmatched and retreated to the pit from which it came.

(Told by Kari)
I was standing on the deck admiring my freshly mowed lawn. I noticed this bunny rabbit go hopping across the lawn in Pete's direction. It was obvious that both animals were oblivious to one another. I pondered how close this bunny would get to Pete before Pete saw it, and then what he would do when he did see it. When Pete noticed the rabbit, he took off for the house. I have never laughed so hard in my life. My big Boston Terrier was afraid of a bunny rabbit.
