Leave a bone for Jack

Nicknames: Jackie-man, Jackson Brown Upside Down, Killer, The Fluffmeister, Muffin Man, Action Jackson

Quick Bio:
Likes: It's a toss up between swimming for the ball/stick/other floating device and digging in various stinky mudpuddles.

Pet-Peeves: He hates it when I put on his face halter and puts up such a protest of barking, whining, and rapid headshaking. Other than that he's a mellow doggie with no peeves.

Favorite Toy: A tennis ball is by far the most sought after (and most readily available...hmmm, I wonder how it happens to also be his favorite, lucky me). But a good kong on a rope, or actually ANYTHING on a rope that he can swing around and hit himself is second.

Favorite Food: Any meat off of my plate.

Favorite Walk: Anywhere. But he definately enjoys Pt. Isabel, Lake Anza, and Oholone Dog Park!

Arrival Story: Once in a pun of time there were two girls looking for a butch dog - a rottie, a pitt, a dobie. So they went from pound to pound up and down the bay area looking for that big tough dog to walk. One bright day, at the Oakland Pound, they found themselves walking through rows and rows of big tough rotties and pitts and were quite surprised to see a fluffy, brown eyed face looking up at them and also looking quite out of place. One of the girl's first comment to him was "Oh, aren't you pathetic." The fluffy dog had no poop in his cage and when we brought him outside to get aquainted with him, he headed straight for the bushes and produced quite a present for the staff to pick up (not my dog yet, not my problem yet). Hoorah, the girls thought, housestrained already! It was love at first sight. And thus begun a relationship that all three have cherished for 3 years strong.

Auntie Laura brought her dog Silas over for a sleepover. Then, my people disappeared in the middle of the night. How disturbing. I'm trying not to suspect Laura of anything. She's been giving me lots of treats and belly rubs so I don't know what to think.
When Silas isn't lying on the ottoman drooling in his sleep, he entertains me. I am picking up tips from him on how to be a better wrestler. Mostly it involves being sneakier, bodyslamming without remorse, and grabbing more parts of doggie anatomy.
I hope Silas will show me how he got around the barrier to the basement to visit the cats. It seems tricky though, and its definitely something only a Bad Dog would do. If my people only knew what kind of influence Silas had on me...
I hope my people come home again. Auntie Laura throws like a girl, and I am suffering from tennis ball withdrawal.
