Arrival Story:
Got Tippy from an ad in the paper , she was living in bad conditions and had to go to the vet before we even went home to get worming and flea spray (she was covered with fleas) She has recovered nicely and turned into an eating machine.

She is a joy and don't know how we did without her can't imagine not having a Chi from now on.

My mom came home with ANOTHER chi!
She is older than me and a little bigger but if she thinks she is going to be Alpha around her she better watch it!
She is a lap hog and thinks she should be in my Mom or Dads lap when we sit down. Doesn't she know that I get first choice on laps AND I decide if anyone else is allowed up? Apparently not,she IGNORES me and does what she wants.Hummmm
I may have to rethink the strategy with her,may not scare her as easy as I can Emma;-(

Reflecting on my first 10 months

My forever parents came to that bad place and got me out of the bathroom where I had been living with my brother and sister since we were about3 or 4 weeks old. They took our Mom away so we would eat real food and be ready to go to new homes at 5 weeks old! What they called real food was some kind of grown-up dog food wet down and some little pieces of weiners (I really liked the weiners but my new Mommy doesn't let me have them)My diet was immediately changed to puppy food and when I was about 3 months old they started giving me green beans and sometimes carrots, but I don't get them every day, like I do my Chicken Soup for Puppies....anyway that first day ,I had sooooo many fleas that my new Mommy said we need to go to the vet before we take her home,so off we went.He gave me some stuff for worms and a bottle of flea spray that they had to spray on a towel and wrap me in 'cause I was too young for flea drops or to have flea spray on me.
I was so tiny that they could put me nearly anywhere and I would be right there when they came back, but now I go anywhere I want to.
I have decided to be a watch dog because my people do not know the dangers out there so I bark and bark and bark when a UPS man or FedX man comes to our door or when a pick-up truck passes our house and also when the feral cats get on our porch!
My Mommy decided that I needed "socializing " so she took me for 4 or 5 classes, they have decided to let my little sister finish my classes because I don't want to socialize.
Speaking of my sister, they got her when I was 7 months old and I have decided it is my job to teach her the rules,I make new rules for her every day; it's hard work being Alpha dog but someone has to do it ;-)
Anyway nothing major has happened to me since I got here to my forever home except the day they took me in to the vet to be spayed,I already did not like one of the 3 vets up there because he gives little bitty dogs shots like they do to horses...now I don't like none of them!
Well catch you later ,I'll try to keep this diary up.
