There is a new fence at the dog park. There are a lot of new dogs now and most of them smell ok. I can still run in circles but they have to be smaller circles and I have to dodge around the dogs that are standing around so I can keep running. Well maybe they're actually chasing me, but it seems like they're just standing around. Also it is very warm so I can only run around for a few minutes before I have to take a lie-down break.
My favorite new toy is the rope ball. I can pick it up with my teeth and throw it high into the air, and then it comes back down and I can pick it up again and throw it. That is the most fun ever. But not everyone fully appreciates this game. They say 'why are you doing that?' and I say 'what?' and they say 'you're supposed to wait for the people with hands to throw the ball for you and you go run and bring it back,' and I say 'whatever.' Hello, is that supposed to be more fun that sending rope entrails spinning around in the air? Didn't think so.

The ground is round and it's cold and fluffy. I can't smell the ground but I smell peanuts and my nose is cold and fluffy. Then I run and back and forth and my feet are cold and fluffy. Behind me is a cloud that is cold and fluffy.

I can run if I want to.
I can leave my friends behind.
Cause my friends are slow if they are slow
They're not grey-friends of mine.
See, I can go where I want to
I'm unleashed and you soon will find
That I'm a whole greyhound and when I run around
I can leave you far behind
I can run, I can run
Faster than you can think
I can run, I can run
And lie down in a blink.
I can run, I can run
Everybody look at your paws
I can run, I can run
Kitties retract your claws
Is it safe to pant, oh yes it's safe to pant.
Don't wait to pant, cause it's safe to pant.
Heh! It's safe to pant
Hah! It's safe to pant
Hee! It's so safe to pant
Heh! Do the safety pant

I got sad news today from Xander's house. Mocha cat isn't going to come to stay with us after all. Not even her hair which she has a lot of as I said before. She was a good cat. She didn't step on me even once. We will miss her.

My foot! I think that should be used as an expression of surprise, like "Woof, my foot!" I'm going to start using it and see if it catches on.
What I wanted to write about is, I finally got my foot back, except it returned to me very pink and scrawny. Kind of like one of those hairless cats. They are very odd looking and I think that Mocha-cat should offer some of her hair to help them out because she has a lot to spare.
Anyway I still don't get to go to the big park even though I keep saying how my foot feels ok and I'm very excited to be going. The other dog goes because she does not have any broken toes. She also doesn't have a broken mouth if you get my drift. What I'm saying is she talks a lot. She kept me up one night and I had to pace in circles until I could lie down. It's a good thing that sleeping is my number one skill.

I used to run for a living, but now I am retired. That means you just run because you like it not because you have to. And you get to run with all the other dogs who are also retired.
And then sometimes you break a toe.
First of all, it hurts a lot! It hurts to run and it hurts to walk. It hurts to go up the stairs and down the stairs and to sit and to lie down and to get up. If you thought it looked like fun and you just wanted to see what it was like, forget it!
I went down the street to the office but no treats this time, except to lie down, and then they kept touching my toe which was not fun. Then they said it was broken. I have a picture to prove it just in case someone tries to make me run.
The next part was not nice because they wrapped up my whole leg. Now I look like a turkish ballerina except just on one leg, the other 3 look like a dog. It feels funny because I have been all dog so far. It is strange having one leg not be mine, but at least I could sleep a little better today. I hope I can become a whole dog again very soon!

The best thing in the world is lying down. This can take on several forms; for example, on a cool stretch of grass, usually following playtime with some of my friends. Other well tested methods are on the dog bed, when I’m put into my crate annex, or in my crate, which is where I spend my day.
But you might ask, are those the only possibilities? No! There is also on the front walk (before or after a hard rain), on the wood floor after a stretch, on the rug with treats, in the kitchen, on your back, curled up on another dog’s bed, asleep, awake but pretending to be asleep, or in the back of the car, just to name a few.
I urge you to experiment to see what creative ways you can find!

This is who I met today: Cally, Jasper, Pluto, Milo, Strummer, Luna, and Quickie.
I like how they smell, but right now I have to stay on the leash. I tried to play with Milo but he instead went out the gate. There was food on the ground. Then he was scared and someone had to get him. I walked all over the place and went up some stairs. I saw cats but they are not as interesting as everything else. Sometimes there are scary sounds in the air and things on the ground. I don't like to walk on the big rocks. The people are very nice they talk to me. After a while I was very tired which means I get to sleep in my shiny new crate. It has blankets and yummy smelling things for me to eat, but after walking around I'm so tired I could sleep all day.
