Central Park, the E. 60th street dog run, Grandma's back yard

Long-distance wave, Leave it, Speak (which she now does during all her other tricks!)
Arrival Story:
We found Nani on petfinder.com. Her pregnant mommy was rescued by Companions for Life in CT and the day to pick a puppy was my birthday, so we took it as a sign. My hubby fell in love with her the second he saw her (she was barking and peeing and chewing on wires and getting stuck behind things) and we christened her "Nani", which is Hawaiian for lovely.
Bio:
Immediately after we got her, she fell ill with a variety of puppy sicknesses (the vet said she might die). She spent a week in the hospital with a tube in her nose. We had only known her for a short while, but we thought our hearts would break. Luckily, she survived the ordeal and has made our lives so much better every day since!

Today Mom put me on this neat site called dogster and wrote all about me and put up my picture. We spent some time looking around and seeing all the great dogs, looking especially for ones that live near us in the city.
We were happily surprised when dogs started requesting Nani as a friend and enjoyed all the nice messages you all sent.
I'm napping on Mom's foot as she types this and then we're going to the dog park. Hope everyone has a wonderful dog day of summer!!
