Arrival Story:
Chancey's original "owners" of 8 yrs moved and gave him to a couple that didn't want him. When he regressed in housebreaking, new "owners" booted him outside where he's lived in the Kansas elements for the last 2 years (see pics of his "farmer's" tan). After 2 yrs the new "owners" turned him into their local shelter, who in turn listed him on Petfinder. I contacted the shelter to offer any assistance in placing him and they agreed to turn him over to Crest-Care for fostering & placement. When he first met me he was none too thrilled, but when I started snuggling with and dishing out treats to the other dogs in the shelter , Chancey decided I must be okay. He has stuck to me like glue ever since. Chancey is the sweetest nekkid guy in the world. He wants nothing more than to be right beside you (or on you) in everything you do. He does not act like he's 10 yrs old at all. He runs, plays and wrestles with my 16 mo. old vision impaired Chinese Crested like a young whippersnapper. Chancey does have cataracts beginning to form in both his eyes, with the right eye being marginally more advanced than the left. Eventually Chancey will be blind, but I have no doubt that it will not slow him down one bit. Because Chancey has lived outdoors for so long, we had to start at square one with housebreaking. He is coming along, but not completely reliable at this time.
