California Natural for breakfast and dinner, Milkbones for snacks and Frosty Paws for dessert (especially if theey're peanut butter, she'll love you for life!).

Favorite Walk:
Arounf the neighborhood and back again, like the other two in the family.

Best Tricks:
Addie can: shake (with both paws), sit, lay down, roll over and speak.

Arrival Story:
I was looking for a new German Shepherd, when I found out about Addie. I e-mailed the woman that ran the German Shepherd Rescue in Riverview, where she was at and went down to see what Addie was like a few days later. On June 1st 2001, I fell in love with a cute, long haired, redheaded German Shepherd Dog. To this day, she's still my best "girl friend" and we do absolutely everything together!

Bio:
Addie, has one floppy ear and was last in (what I think was) an abusive home. She still shivers, cries during the night or even if I just lift my hand up... she'll think she's going to get hit. Her main owners before I rescued her, were an older couple that had her trained to do things around the house. Addie's currently able to open the fridge, turn the faucets on, turn the hose on in the backyard and will go get water from the shower if her bowl is empty. It's unbelievable what she can do for being a dog, it really is.

Besides saying goodbye to Bear when his time comes, you have definitely been the hardest to ever say "goodbye" to in the last few weeks. Addie, you were my first rescued Shepherd and one that will never be forgotten no matter who walks into my life. You are solely responsible for getting me into rescuing German Shepherds like your absolutely adorable self, and for many others that have done the same thanks to the amazing personality and love that you give to everyone that loves you just as much.

I hope you'll understand why I'm doing this, as I can't bear to know you're in pain and keep you here just for my own selfish benefit. Thank you for being there for the last six-and-a-half years, those years have meant the world to me and you'll always be my little girl.
