My precious little baby passed away on the morning of February 11, 2009. He had a very hard journey. He had Cushiongs diesease since 2007 and diabetes since 2008. He started having some kind of seizures or strokes on Christmas Eve 2008 so we spent Christmast in San Antonio with specialists. I stayed with him the whole time and are so greatful they let me. He was blind and no longer wanted to eat. We took him to every specialist but apparently it didn't matter. I love Zeebee more than I can even express. He was my world. I would have done anything to help him. He had a very hard time the last week and didn't even want me to touch him. He did let me hold him on my chest a couple times and I charish those moments. He had a very hard night on Feb. 10th and wouldn't let me help him. I heard him stop panting and looked over at his bed next to ours and he was gone. We rushed him to emergency but they couldn't bring him back. He was the best boy and I know he is not suffering anymore but my heart is just broken. My like will never be the same. I am so lucky to have got to love this little boy and share my life with him but 13 years was not enough. 100 years wouldn't have been enough. He is my baby, my life.

My luck just won't change. This March I still wasn't feeling right so Mom took me to see Dr. Susaneck. He knew what was wrong with me immediately, Diabetes. Now I have to get stuck in the pants twice a day, but I do feel better now. Mom & Dad thank God that they can afford to get me the best medical attention. They know I'm worth it.

Cushings Disease

What a year this has been, I'm happy it's almost over. I live in Texas part of the year and started eating everything in site starting in January. Mom thought I just didn't like Texas and was rebelling. I kept eating and starting vomiting every two to three weeks. We came back to Colorado in March and Mom and Dad took me to see Dr. Woods in Boulder. They started a bunch of tests and finally figured out I was having an adrenal gland problem. Then something unexpected happedned that night, I threw up and collapsed. Mom and Dad rushed me into emergency in Boulder and they discovered I had a blockage in my stomach. Mom and Dad took me to their friend Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald at Alameda East in Denver and they did surgery and removed some blanket and plush toy fur from my belly. Mom and Dad were very scared because I'm their special boy. I made it through the surgery but had to stay calm for a couple weeks and that was hard. Dr. Fitzgerald started treating my for what he says is "Cushings Disease" in May and it's been hard. I'm hungry all the time. I didn't think mom was feeding me enough so I learned how to open the cabinet and get into the trash. Mom put baby locks on the cabinet and I can't get into that yummy trash anymore. Darn!! We went to Texas again in September and saw another specialist Dr. Susaneck in Houston and he got my medicine all figured out. I lost alot of muscle at first but now I'm getting stronger again. We came back to Colorado for Christmas and I am sooo happy to be back in Colorado. I like the beach in Texas but Colorado is my real home. I used to really love going to see Dr. Woods but I'm getting tired of going to the vets. Now that I'm on my medication I don't have to go in as much though and I like that. Back in March Mom got rid of all my toys and blankets and got me and my brother and sister toys we couldn't eat. She also bought us new beds we wouldn't eat. Mom says I must be feeling better because I don't spend my whole day licking the ground looking for food. Mom thinks she sneaks my medicine into my food, but I know its there, I just take it cause I know it makes me better.
