Arrival Story:
We were looking for an adult dog to rescue, not a puppy...but one of my students had a dog who just had a litter out on a farm, and we couldn't resist. As we watched Sadie tackle one of her siblings, and it was love at first sight. The litter on the farm were allowed to roam free, and a few weeks after we adopted Sadie, we found out the rest of her brothers and sisters all died from parvo. We luckily had Sadie vaccinated right away, but it's sad to think the rest of her brothers and sisters didn't make it.
Bio:
Mom and Dad own a pet boutique in Maine (with holisitic and organic pet food, supplies, etc.) so we are spoiled in a ridiculous manner. I have some pretty bad food allergies (and am prone to pacreatitus, yuck!), but I stick to a good diet, and am doing much better. Its nice to be able to head downstairs to the store and pick out a brand new toy or treats! Mom and Dad only carry food and treats that I (and dogs like me) can eat, lucky for me!!
