My Charmed Life...

Am I being replaced?

Mum brought an English Cocker Spaniel home a few days ago... I'm not sure how I take to him. He doesn't complain when I growl at him and Grandma keeps telling me to "behave yourself Scoopy!". Am I being replaced? Mum seems to be showering alot of attention on this new dog Nike... Nike... What a name... Wonder why she kept that name for him...

I miss the times when it was just Mum and me. Why can't we have things back the way they were? We had a good 9 years together - why fix what isn't broken? Will I ever get along with Nike? Mum seems to want us to get along but I just can't get over it! He's walking around MY house, getting attention from MY Mum, drinking out of MY water bowl, sniffing MY butt! Why doesn't he growl at me or - at least something - so that Mum won't think that I'm being a brat...

*sigh* what is to become of my life now that Nike's part of the family...

Tonight Mum took Nike out. She never takes me out. Not downtown! Last night she took Nike out to a friend's house for dinner. She never did that with me! Why, Why, Whyyyyyyyyy... Doesn't she love me anymore?

At least I still get to sleep with Mum on her comfy bed while Nike sleeps on the floor outside her room... Maybe I should keep growling at him, then he'll always be sleeping outside the door... Hmmm...
