Dakota stands strong

Dakota gets trhu treatments

After we fostered and adopted poor Dakota from a local shelter, we found out she had heartworm. She went thru all the awful heartworm treatment and is doing well, there is some permenant damage to her lungs, but overall she is doing well.

This poor baby has been thru so much already. Before we got her she was chained to concrete with no food or water and had a broken leg and inverted eye. She has went thru all the surgeries while we fostered her and has gained 53lbs and the sores have healed.

We hope that she gets to now enjoy a long happy life , that this sweetheart deserves.

She is now adjusting to our new boxer puppy Savanna. Dakota thinks she is her mom. She plays with her and also keeps her in line. They are very cute together!

We just love her so much!!!
