When I started there was this very cute dog named skipper. But skipper had some issues with trusting people and something called crate aggression. This made it very difficult to handle him. And aided him in being deemed unadoptable. It took me going in to his kennel one day and having to brave his history of crate aggression for us to realize what would become a lifelong friendship. All I did was lean down and pick up one of his toys and throw it for him. I think he was so surprised that I didn't just run away like so many others that he just stood there for a moment looking at me. Then turned around and fetched the toy and brought it back. From that moment on we've been best friends. A couple of years later it came time for me to find a different job. I agonized over this decision for the soul reason that I couldn't stand the idea of not seeing my skipper dipper doo every day. So with the rescues blessing I decided to bring skipper home. It was very difficult for him in the beginning and for a few months it was touch and go. But we've never looked back. Skipper is not just my dog. He is my bestfriend and protector. I couldn't imagin my life with out him by my side. I've Been On Dogster Since:
