 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: September 22nd 1998
Likes: Annie loves to guard her food. She loves to run in the back woods and apparently chase and get sprayed by skunks...she's getting really good at it! She loves to catch birds in flight. Annie loves butt rubs and lots of attention. Annie loves car rides.

Pet-Peeves: Annie doesn't particularly like her little sister Roxie, especially when Roxie wants to play. Annie doesn't care for the groomer when it's time for her annual hair cut.

Favorite Toy: Annie is above the toy stage...unless you count those birds... oh, and squirrels...and chipmunks. Toys bore her. She much prefers live action!

Favorite Food: Bread, bread ,bread ,bread ,bread...and more bread. She very much dislikes dog food, but she'll eat it (usually) if nothing better comes along.

Favorite Walk: Up the driveway, out the gate, up the road back around through the field and down through the woods to the dirt road then back to her own 4 acres and home again as though she never left.

Best Tricks: Sit, sit pretty.( that would be up on her back legs)

Arrival Story: Annie was the dog of a renter we had. The renter was moving on and couldn't take Annie with her to her new apartment. My husband just happened to ask in passing what her plans were for Annie. When he was told she planned to drop her off at the local pound my husband said we would take her with us and give her a home. I panicked since we already had two 100lb dogs at home ... What if they won't accept her?!?!?!? We promptly loaded her into the car and changed her name from Bear to Annie since this was the 3rd time she was an orphan. All was well when we arrived home. Our girls accepted her with barely a batted eyelash...very unusual for our opinionated ladies...but who was I to question a good thing!?!? Three days later at our Vets office I got my answer... Annie was pregnant and due to deliver in just a few days. Our dogs accepted her because she was about to be a (very young) Mommy. Another 3 days and we had more dogs than I knew what to do with. Annie had 4 beautiful puppies...she was a great Mom and we raised the pups to 8 weeks and found great homes for all of them.

Bio: My husband did periodic check ups on the property we had so he'd met Annie before. She was always friendly and polite and happy to see him. The last few months that the renter lived in the house Annie was found locked in a room with no food or water and no choice but to soil the room she was in. It was a bad situation but he thought it would improve...and when it didn't the renter had to move on... lucky for us AND Annie.
January 26, 2010 at @2:30am Annie left for Rainbow Bridge. A mystery illness took her from us. Now she is with her sister dog Cocoa and others that she'll be happy to see again.
We miss her gentleness greatly! Good bye Annieannie.
