Arrival Story: Maggie is a dog who was abandoned by her family when they decided they didn't want her anymore. They said she was moody and irritable. It turns out for good reason! They hadn't taken her to a vet in a long long time. She had a UTI, matted hair (hadn't been groomed for a year), and infected ears. Maggie was our foster dog for two months. After taking her to a poodle parlor, she looked entirely different. I didn't even recognize her. And as the antibiotics worked, her demeanor completely changed. We saw her blossom. If only her family had taken good care of her, kept her up to date on vaccinations and kept her healthy. But no matter, she is happy now.

Bio: Maggie's forever home is with an empty nester couple, who spoil her and let her know she's the best dog ever. Maggie's life is now going to include RV'ing across the States and seeing the sites. She loves being the princess dog at her new home. Her forever parents are attentive and have taken care that she does well with their grandchildren, too. It's great to be part of some happy endings!
Maggie passed away on May 4, 2007 due to heart failure. Her last couple years were wonderful. She finally was treated as well as a doggie should. Looking forward to seeing Maggie at the Rainbow Bridge.
