Payne was adopted by default when he wouldn't leave. It didn't take long for us to realize that the little guy had been abused. He was a very timid dog when he first came into our lives and would bite if he felt frightened. Over the three years that we had Payne we came to realize what scared him and how to prevent any attacks due to fear. He became a happy little guy that loved to go for car rides and have his belly scratched. Apparently Payne had more problems then we realized. After an unprovoked attack where he was in no danger and wasn't nervous Payne had to be put to sleep.

Payne's problems stemmed from abuse and neglect. He wasn't properly socialized with people or other animals as a puppy. He had a fear of people that wouldn't completely go away. Payne asks that you help prevent this from happening to others.
