Hi all
It's been awhile and my foster mama asked me for an update. I love my new home. I live with a great couple, in a child-free home with a cat. I'm only 1 mile from my foster family so I get to see them a lot.
My new parents took me to a great trainer where I outshone all the other dogs. I'm very smart and know my job is to keep my new home safe. I can always tell if someone is even an inch on the property.
I just stayed with Rennie & Pablo for two weeks while my parents went to Mexico. I was very sad for the first couple days. I stayed by the front door, waiting for my parents to come get me. But I knew I was safe with Rennie & Pablo. By the second day, we were playing everywhere - inside, outside, up and down the stairs. By the fourth day, we were back to playing all our old doggie games. It was like I had never been away.
It was wonderful to stay with my foster family, but when my dad came to get me, I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOO HAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPYYYY!!!!!! I gave my dad lots and lots of kisses and cuddled him the best I knew how.
I'm a very lucky dog.

Hi! My name is Kelly and I love it here! I was so scared when my owner took me back to the animal shelter. I thought I was done with that scary, loud place. But he dropped me off and there I was, in the middle of a bunch of loud, barking dogs and so many strangers. Too many for me.
I miss my owner. He was a great guy. I could tell he was getting sick, something didn't seem right, but I loved him anyways. He told me he was doing the best for me, but it didn't feel that way. I loved him and wanted to be with him forever.
Thank goodness one of the animal care officers put me back in a room, all by myself. I was lonely, but the noise was too much for me. Then one day, this nice lady came to my room. I recognized her. She said hi to me, when I was dropped off in the main kennel. I liked her and I let her come into my kennel.
Then joy of all joys, she and the animal care officer took me out of the kennel. I got to meet two cute little dogs, who told me that if I agreed, they'd like me to live with them for awhile. I was still scared, but I let them put me in the crate and the car drove away from that shelter. whew!
Now I play with Rennie & Pablo everyday. The two humans are so kind to me. They understand I am still a little scared of new people so they've been introducing me to some nice folks. I guess not everyone is scary.
I'm a good watch dog, too. One day, a strange man tried to get into the house, but I know my job. I got foster mom's attention (she thought it was the postman) and she called the police. That man didn't get very far. And I kept the house safe. I know what my job is.
I've been learning how to sit, stay, down, come, and all other kinds of jobs. I especially like to play fetch with my little orange duck, the tennis balls, and well, any kind of toy I get to play with. Rennie, Pablo & I play tag in the back yard. I don't know if I like being chased or chasing them better, but they're great guys and I'm glad to know them.
This foster home is great. They love to pet my belly as much as I loved it rubbed. I don't even have to ask twice.
I hope I can live in a new forever home as great as this one. Foster mom knows I'm ready for Petfinder, but since I proved my worth with that intruder, she likes having me around. I know she takes good care of me and she won't let me go to a forever home that is any less caring.
That's all for now. I need to start interviewing those future families, well, as soon as foster mom gets me on Petfinder, that is. silly foster mom
