We're expecting my new sister in mid-September. I think I have mixed feelings about this. Mommy may not have time for me anymore with the baby around, and Daddy has been getting mad at me because I've been chewing up furniture and scratching up doors and doorways around the house. I think I'm just frustrated and need to relieve some anxiety. When they're not home I'm really lonely! They've brought me to meet two dog trainers for consultations, and although they seemed scary, they kept on throwing treats at me. Maybe this won't be so bad after all...

So back to this whole sister deal. They've been calling her "Ella". I wonder if she will be furry and how she will smell. I've never been around a baby before. Will I have to share my cheese with her? And what about my place on the couch? I don't know if I like the idea... And what about my walks? Will I have to share Mommy time with her? Is there a refund policy if I don't like her?

It's Official!

Wow-wee! Saturday, June 25th was a landmark day. I wasn't there to witness it, but mom 'n pops tied the knot up in wine country, and we're officially a family! Plus, now I'm Remy Liu-Jones. I don't feel any different. In fact, I'm just sleepy. We've been vegging all afternoon in front of the TV. Mom 'n pops looked pooped--absolutely wiped out. They picked me up from Pet Camp today, and I heard they've been entertaining friends and family all week, not just at the wedding. There was something about really great barbecued quail and steamed lobster at the rehearsal dinner that I missed, and something about pops getting a shaving at his bachelor party?! Apparently Uncle Warren has the pics, but it's been mostly a don't ask/don't tell policy... Oh wells.

I'm sort of craving McDonald's right now. I wonder if mom 'n pops would be so kind as to grab me a cheeseburger (hold the pickles and onions of course).

Well, I'd have to say today has been a good day. Last night after some mac 'n cheese I walked mom 'n pops. After a pretty gut-wrenching poopie we got home, and pops let me hang in the backyard for a lil while longer. I really enjoy stargazing from time to time. OK, so I enjoy the occasional peeping Tomasina duties as well. Unfortunately there is nothing juicy to share, as the neighbors and their pups were all in beddy-bye land.

This morning as I lay curled up in bed with my lazy momma, I thought about all the wonderful things I loved about San Francisco--running thru the soccer field at Golden Gate Park, the occasional romp at Fort Funston, riding thru Haight-Ashbury and window-shopping at Shoe Biz, getting takeout from Whole Foods, and the stints here and there at Pet Camp. Wow, this City by the Bay is really breathtaking, although I too, miss my sunshine and flip flops.

Oh, buy of the month: my Burberry-lookalike red rain hat. So cute! Thanks mom 'n pops!

TGIF... Momma says her friend Jen Soll is coming up from LA tonight. I hope she smells good and has leftover steak or cheese to feed me. I can always tell who is friend or foe by the gifts they come bearing.

I'm looking forward to a weekend of LOUNGING and catching up on Sex in the City (thanks to On Demand)!

Two paws up--have an awesome weekend!
