 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: July 18th 1999
Likes: belly rubs, sleeping on my (oops, I mean my human's) bed, being off leash in the park, lounging in the sun, playing with my squeaky toys, chasing squirrels

Pet-Peeves: cats, rain, snow (although none of that anymore in CA!), thunder, clickers, loud noises, strange men, cheap treats, baths, dumb costumes my human puts on me, joggers and bikers - especially when I can't chase them...

Favorite Toy: cats, squirrels, my buster cube, my squeaky toys, other dogs' balls (the tennis ball kind not on their body)

Favorite Food: chicken, spare ribs, liverwurst, greenies, spicier nacho doritos, cookies and any other sweets, I have a serious sweet tooth (but I have to be pretty sneaky to get my chompers on some sweets)

Favorite Walk: Pt. Isabel is the best! I get to meet all kinds of dogs and run around off leash.

Best Tricks: sit, down, high-five, stay, and kiss (to varying degrees of success). I also know how to get out of my harness (that's a little trick that I learned all by myself! I do it sparingly since it can get me in trouble too...)

Arrival Story: Sydney was found under a porch after having just given birth to puppies and brought to the shelter....poor girl! Her puppies were not with her though - so it is anyone's guess what happened to them. Her fur was falling out, she had some mange, her teats were totally full, and she had kennel cough - but who could resist falling in love with that cute little face! Sydney's back to her good health and has been fixed so she can't get preggers again - she's still working on some of her fear issues but is the sweetest girl ever!

Bio: Life was pretty hard knocks for a while, but I finally found myself a fur-ever home! If my humans spoke dog better I could tell them all about life on the street - but instead, I just cock my head and try to get treats instead. It usually works too. Life is pretty good now...

Forums Motto: don't get up until there's food!

another christmas come and gone. This year, my human got a santa dress (the humiliation!) that I had to wear for three days straight. Well, except when I went outside. I'm not sure what that was about. Plus, no goodies in my stocking - I mean last year I got pig ears and special high-end treats. What am I...chopped liver??? Oh, although speaking of which, I did get some tasty giblets in my bowl - from all the fowl the humans were cooking. Yum, liver and gizzards and heart - yummo! Plus, one day it practically rained chicken into my bowl. I thought I crossed to rainbow bridge! Anyway, all in all...I guess things have been pretty good. I got lots of attention from various humans (even if one kept calling me "snoopy" - humph, as if!) and treats for doing nothing but looking cute. My new years resolution is to angle my way into more free treats from gullible humans. well, bark back at y'all laters....xoxo, sydney

I've been hanging out at my buddy nikos' house and all this has made me think it's nice to have a four-legged buddy around. You see, nikos is bigger than me so his treats are bigger, his food is bigger, heck, even his human is a little bigger. So if I play my cute card right, I can usually get my snout on some extra eats and some hearty petting just for hanging around.
Truth be told, it's kind of fun having a furry pal to nap away my day with. Well, that's what the human thinks we do. Actually, we're writing the great Corgi-Chihuahua-Terrier novel - we're barking out the details via pee-mail. Stay tuned! Sydney

It's been some good times for the sydney girl. First, I got my chompers on some real good garbage, I mean this was some tasty stuff - duck bones, duck fat, butter, yum! yum! yum! I can't believe my human left me such a good treat! Truth be told, my plumbing went all askew after that - but it was worth it. I'm drooling just thinking about it. And then, my curly-haired human from Michigan came to visit! I acted super cute so I'd get lots of treats and it worked like a charm.
Seems like I have some other plumbing issues going on too now, something about a UTI? I had to go to the vet and my human started collecting my urine! Geesh, these humans can be so weird! I mean it's one thing to collect my special deposits, but my pee-mail now? Really, there has to be a limit! Oh well. I'm feeling better now and I get treats w/ my medicine - which tastes pretty good so I don't mind. Plus, my human feels bad and gives me extra treats. These two-legged folks are so easily manipulated.
hmm...better go patrol and see if the human left anything out - you never know. Sniff y'all laters, Sydney
