He was the only one who looked like a Rottweiler out of the Pit/Rot mix litter. He was quiet, shy and a little on the sickly side when I got him (but huge!) so I took him home, bathed him, fed him and loved him. He's turned out to be the best dog I've ever known - loyal, intelligent and VERY affectionate with everyone.

Hangin' with the old folks

Yesterday we went and performed for the old folks at the retirement home and it was pretty neat. I got to go around and meet with everyone and let them pet me and give me treats and I didn't get scared at all. The wheelchairs confused me a little bit at first (mostly because they looked like fun and I wanted to try one but Mum wouldn't let me) but I quickly got over it. I did a few tricks and ate a popcicle and sniffed everything and everyone there just adored me. They commented on how calm and polite I was and how smart I was, too.
Mum says me might go back sometime. I really hope so.

Well. The retirement home here in town invited me to go and perform for their residents this weekend. That's just fine with me, I LOVE attention. From everyone and anyone. And I LOVE showing off. Mum is going to treat me to something extra special if I do good on Saturday, like a walk in the park with just me and her (no Harley!!!) so she can run with me as I chase squirrels. Good times!

They call me Tater

I decided not to come inside last night when Mummy and Daddy went to bed because now that its getting warm out, I like to sit on the porch and guard the house from those coyotes. Not that they could get in the fence, anyway, but I like to think I'm brave and intimidating like that.
The chicks dig it.
So after we go to the park this morning, I'll probably spend the rest of the day sleeping. At least until mom gets home from work, then I'll follow her around and nudge her until she pets me. Then when she stops I'll do it again. I hope she brings home more Taco Bell tonight. Or at least some Krystal burgers. The ones she orders special just for me, without pickles and onions and mustard. Man those are good.
