Arrival Story:
Brodie lived with a family in Fairfield CA that decided they didn't want him. They also owned a yellow lab. Brodie was to big and they didn't want him in the house. The owner posted him on an intranet at work and advised the readers that if he didn't get rid of him he'd be going to the pound. He was only 9 months old. I went to check him out, immediately fell in love and brought him home. When got him he was not potty trained but within a 3 week period he stopped having accidents and NEVER pooped in the house! Very fast learner and a smart guy.

Bio:
Brodie has passed on to God now but he was a big, black and playful. He truely enjoyed his human companions but had no real loyalty to just one of us. Anyone who smothered him with love was his pal! He didn't really think he was a dog, just a human who had to stay off of the furniture. Except his dads chair... when he's was it to.

Treasured Friend

I lost a treasured friend today

The dog who used to lay

His gentle head upon my knee

And share his silent thoughts with me...

He'll come no longer to my call

Retrieve no more his favorite ball

A voice far greater than my own

Has called him to His golden throne.

Although me eyes are filled with tears,

I thank Him for the happy years

He let him spend down here with me

And for his love and loyalty.

When it is time for me to go

And join him there, this much I know...

I shall not fear the transient dark

For he will greet me with his bark.
