Wow, it sure took a long time to get my mommy to sit down and transcribe this for me. I wonder if she is fat and lazy like Scout? Is she listening while I dictate? The vacation up north at Grandpa’s was a long, long drive like Scout said. They did take me and it was fun except for the parts where we had to go out in the boat on the water. I don’t like water and the boat was loud and bumpy, it scared me. Mom and Dad were with us every day and my other Grandma & Grandpa came up north to see us too which made me and Scout happy. We went for walks everyday all over these hills and fields and some park where they hit a little ball around for nothing and chased us away. I slept with Mommy at night and Scout slept with Daddy. Shhhhh…. Don’t tell Grandpa. Scout was supposed to sleep with me and Mom but the bed was too small.

And then some time later, Scout and Mom left me and Daddy home alone. They went very far out west in some plane that take off in the sky and then crash down somewhere else. He was going camping with other shibas. Daddy said they don’t have camping for dogs like me. I don’t know why?? But Dad said he was happy to be home alone with me and he took me for a walk everyday in the morning and at night. He gave me popcorn and watched tv with me. I was very happy when we went for a ride and saw Mom and Scout again. I jumped up and down in the car to see them. They were gone a long time and I thought I would never see them again.

I have been hurting myself lately. When I jump down from the couch or bed, my knees hurt and I cry a little. Mom got worried so she took me to the doctor and they said that I have something wrong called Patellar Luxation. It means I can’t jump anymore from high places. It is so bad that my Mom and Dad are thinking of keeping me off the furniture because I would need surgery otherwise which cost a lot of money. I want to have fun, I am little guy and I like to run around. That would be awful if I can’t jump anymore?? Oh noooo…. How do I get me a pay pal button? Do I go on ebay? The Max Winston foundation for luxating patellas… How does that sound? Then I could be the fun little dog I’ve always been. Mom! Dad??? Oh no…. Mom is getting a gag to put over my mouth now.. mmmpghtht….
