Likes:
Jumping up on my daddy when he is trying to sleep. I like to hog the bed with dad and mom. I love to steal people food. I just discovered what a raccoon is and I like to tree them. Mom says they are bigger dumpster divers than I ever could be.
Pet-Peeves:
I don't like the sit and stay command. I don't like firecrackers and I hate it if I am ignored and not the center of attention
Favorite Toy:
Toys? Who needs toys when I can jump and play with Daddy. I miss my brother Sarge.
Favorite Food:
Any people food I can get my chomps on. Cheese, pizza, hot dogs, chips, peanut butter, ice cream, cookies and lets not forget cake.
Favorite Walk:
Anywhere you will take me. I love to go camping as everyone thinks I'm beautiful and I can beg food from them. Love those hot dogs.
Best Tricks:
Although I am trained and have my herding title as well as good citizens title, my favorite trick is to play deaf or dumb when I'm told to sit or stay. Mom and Dad like it when I "Swing" and give them "paw".
Arrival Story:
Mom and Dad were part of MWCR which is a Collie Rescue. That is where they got my brother. They decided that after fostering dogs, it was too hard to give them up so they called my Grandma "Gigi O'Leary" of Coelio Collies and she talked my mom in to coming to see me. My mom didn't want a Blue Merle like me. But I won her over with my beauty and puppy charm. Mom says my face looks like a beautiful burst of fireworks. They wanted to name me Lady but I would not have any part of that name. Little did they know.. I am no lady. I love mud and rolling in it. Since I looked like a Raccoon, (each eye has brown circle around it) and my tail is marked just like a raccoons. they decided to name me Roxie Raccoon. Some Beatle Theme going on here between my brother ane me. Personally I would have liked Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, but name is too long for AKC and Crystal Blue Persuassion was taken by my dog mama.
Bio:
I AM A FIRST TIME MAMA. I had 7 healthly puppies on March 10, 2005 and they all went to wonderful forever homes. I was a very good mama and you can click to my litters site from here to see how they are progressing. Now that they are gone I have to go back to my training. (Drat) 12/07 Mama thinks it's time to mate me again when I go in season but she is hesitant because of my older brother who is getting pretty lame. Mama is torn as I should be mated but Sarge also needs peace and rest.

I went to Vet and got all check out and in good health. But, like my mama... I am fat... I weigh 76 lbs.
So why am I always so hungry? I really don't get as much to eat as I want. 1 cup twice a day. HUM.. Mama says she is going to give me only 1/2 cup now and 1/2 cup of green beans.
So why couldn't it be Pizza? Or a Hot Dog? Or a Brat? Without Sarge here, I can't get away with stealing food and not getting chewed out as mama and daddy did not know who to scold. But I think they had the idea. TWAS ME..
Mama has lost 51 lbs and now she wants me thinner. She says she does not want a Fat dog at breeding time. More Puppies in the Air?
Oh well, I was a good mama and had very healthy puppies that were well socialized. Mama just hopes I have less than 7 next time. Lots of work.
Note from mama: (Me thinks I'm gonna say to heck with it and not breed her. It's so much work, but Roxie needs to lose weight anyway) Heck she weighs more than our old Sarge Did and he was a tall Male Dog.

It sure is different around here without Sarge. I get a lot more attention in some ways, but mom and dad are a bit stricter too in other ways. The grandbaby came home for Thanksgiving and she brought with her the two family dogs. A Jack Russel and a Golden Retriever. I had company to play with and I loved it. Mama said it was a nut house.
I got a lot of excercise buy jumping and running in and out. The little Jack Russel is always trying jump on me, and I'm not even in season and I had, had enought. So we had a big fight and I got a scratch on my nose. Mama came in and two minutes later we were best of friends again.
Grandbaby asked mama where Sarge was. She told him he went to visit his daddy, just like she came to visit her grandma. She is only 3 and seemed to take that as a logical answer to the question. I tried to get Grandbaby to love up to me, the way she use to love up to Sarge, but I guess that Sarge was her favorite. (Well he was fatter, and I suppose more comfortable to lay on).
Mom is particulary sad about Sarge, when she made her cookies this year. We all miss him. I try to help with cookies, but she says I'm begging and under foot, so she shoo's me away. However, she did give me a cookie.
Wish I had a playmate, but mama and daddy say no, not yet. They still are not over the loss of Sarge.

Gee whiz I miss Sarge. I do like all the attention and now I don't have to share it with another any longer. I also get extra treats. I think mama has really taken it harder than the rest of us. She spoils me rotten with treats, allowing me on bed with muddy feet, and lots of kisses. I wish they would get me another play mate. This weekend they are having a big Halloween Party. I will get to see all kinds of people and I bet I get all kinds of people food. Mama still won't let me have too much of that but does always give me her last bite of food whatever she is eating.
Mom is making me a Chef with flour on my nose and an apron on that says Kiss the Cook and a Stupid hat that I will have off in under 30 seconds. She stole the idea from the MWCR. She is also going as chef with an apron that says COLLINARY Chef...Daddy is wearing a shirt that says We're voting for McCANINE. Get it? I guess it's going to be a dog theme this year for costumes.
And for those who vote for Obama there is a shirt for him too You can see these or purchase these MWCR .org web sight. Money goes toward the Collie Rescue . That is where we got Sarge from.
This will be a fun party.
