Likes:
Neeley loves anything that involves being with her humans, even if it's just cuddling with us while we read or watch TV. She also loves playing with her brother Shoeboot and her sister Aracat (both cats!).

Pet-Peeves:
Neeley hates yelling! She also gets upset if a human cries. She refuses to walk through small spaces and hates the car.

Favorite Toy:
Anything stuffed so she can tear it to shreds!

Favorite Food:
Plums, Ice Cream (though she rarely gets the latter!).

Favorite Walk:
Through Prospect Park. To Grandpa's house because he always saves her lots of treats.

Best Tricks:
Neeley can jump through a hoola hoop!

Arrival Story:
We found a starved, neglected, and beaten Neeley tied to our stoop in August 2001. She had burn marks, ringworm, weighed a mere 24 pounds, and was terribly frightened of any sudden movements. Still she was friendly, affectionate, and trusting. When the pound told us she would have to be euthanized because she was a pitbull mix (even though she tested negative for all aggressive behavior with other dogs, cats, humans, and food) we realized we could never let that happen. Turns out that was the best decision we ever made!
