Birthday: December 12th 1991 Likes: food and attention Pet-Peeves: Chaya & Being left alone Favorite Toy: any rawhide type chew Favorite Food: ANYTHING Best Tricks: I was never taught tricks Arrival Story: Aja was adopted at 2 years old by her previous owners. I gather in the beginning she was loved in their own fashion, but as she lived with them eventually, the only attention they gave her was negative attention or food to keep her quiet (she weighed 54 lbs when she came to me, hence the nick name USS Nimitz).
After 10 years they decided that they no longer wanted her, they were going to put her down. "she was getting old" "her hips were bad" "she was ripping up the garbage when they went out".
So inspite of the fact we already had 3 dogs we took her in.
We changed her diet and she got down 35 lbs. And she was a different dog, her hips were better.
She has Seperation Anxiety so we crate her when we are out and nothing is shreaded.
Alas she was still old. That was almost 2 years ago... Bio: about 3 weeks ago Aja was diagnosed with Lymphoma. She has only a short time left with us.
I am spoiling her and keeping her comfortable untill it is time for her to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
