Arrival Story: Kobie was recued by Hop a long animal rescue in Oakland. He was surrended to animal control in San Francisco and was on death row, was deemed unadoptable due to his age (11yrs old). Went into foster care and I offered to help with caring for him for one week. He was so sweet I decided to keep him and try to make his final years the best. I was Kobie's third owner . We moved from SF to Oakland in the summer of 1999. Kobie had a yard and a hugh deck to sun on. No more sets of stairs ( I lived on the 2nd floor in SF). Kobie had many health problems but lived to be 15 years old thanks to the excellant care of Dr Anne Reed of Creature Comfort Holistic Veterinary Center in Oakland. I felt lucky to have him for 4 yeras, when I got him I was thinking he'd last one yr.
Rest in Peace my sweet boy, we miss you....
Bio: I think Kobie and his sweet gentle nature helped changed some peoples minds about Doberman's.
