Arrival Story:
My good friends Kim and Jimmy were moving into an apartment, and just felt that it wasn't fair to Max to keep him cooped up so much in such a small space. They sent out a few mass emails asking friends if they were interested, or knew of a good home. Kim was afraid to put an add in the paper because people tend to abuse Rotts and fight them. She was getting a little desperate, and I was not particularly interested in taking him, but I was keeping my ears open. She then sent out a picture of Max sleeping next to her 14 month old little boy. It was the cutest thing ever. I showed it to my fiancee....he thought it was sweet, but definitely did not want another dog. While he was driving to work a couple of days later he saw a poster up for a lost Rottweiler. He immediately thought to himself, he didn't want anything like that to happen to our friend's dog, and their move was coming right up. We agreed to take Max until they could "find a good home". Kim put up some flyers at her Vet's office, with the picture of Max and her son. About 30 minutes after Kim dropped Max off at our house, and left in tears, we were completely and totally in love. This was the sweetest, biggest, most loveable dog we have ever known. He was understandably a littly shy at first, but it didn't take long at all for him to warm up to us, and our other dog, Maggie. He immediately became part of the family.
