Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

Birthday:
May 28th 2003

Likes:
gutting fuzzy stuffed toys, gnawing on puppy heads, Buspar, his brother Gribble the rat, playing with dead things, watching Teletubbies, collecting ticks, pooping in the flowers, chasing sea foam, pummeling his pal Ike, snorting mole-holes

Pet-Peeves:
being left alone for more than 30 seconds, scary ceramic lions, blonde women, little dogs who go for the groin

Favorite Toy:
stuffed things he can gut, naughty puppies, stuffed kongs, toys that squeak or make other obnoxious noises, anything he can sink his teeth into or devour

Favorite Food:
cigarette butts, beer, raw mac 'n cheese, polyester fiber-fill, horse poo, 9-volt batteries, rat blocks & kitten chow... basically, everything that's bad for him.

Favorite Walk:
anywhere the little critters of nature have left a nice smelly trail... tick-infested grasslands are a particular favorite. yay for me.

Best Tricks:
the Box Trick ~ whereby he puts all 4 paws inside any box placed in front of him, commando crawl, looking too pitiful to yell at, making people magically disappear from a room by leaving the worst farts ever

Arrival Story:
I work as a dog trainer at the SPCA where Maxx was surrendered by his previous owner for 'escaping from the yard' all the time (go figure). He was then adopted by a nice couple of folks who adored him, until the day they left him crated for 4 hours and he busted out, destroying quite a bit of their house in the process. After being returned, and diagnosed with separation anxiety, we made him an experimental mutt with whom we tried anti-anxiety meds for the first time, in conjunction with behavior modification tactics. I was one of his trainers & was hooked within a mere couple of weeks on this co-dependent sweet & sensitive wussy-boy muscle-head. The drugs worked (he's been off them for a while now), he's now fine in crates again, and I was sucker enough to bring him home with me for good. Ah, how I love him so.

Bio:
Although an American mutt by birth, he's still got a bit of Africa in his soul. Every so often he stands still & stoic in billowing grasses, gazing off into the sunset, dreaming of gazelles & zebras, with a wanderlust in his crazy eyes. Ceramic lions seem to scare the be-jeezus out of him though. Go figure.
