Arrival Story:
A few years ago a friend of a friend's dog had a litter on my (20th) birthday. At the time I lived with my parents and they said no dog (the death of our German Shepard a few years earlier was very hard on my mother). Sable was seperated from her mom at only 6 weeks old. She was thrust into a household with many children and other pets. Unfortunately, her first adoptive father was interested in a "fighting" dog, which Sable is not. He was frustrated with her and wanted to give her back. Upon hearing this poor baby was being sent back (at just over 7 weeks!), and knowing we had the same birthday, I could not let her go. I decided to take her home. My mother protested the new addition, but my father - well, simply put: he fell in love. A 6 years old now, she is an important part of her family. She is so loved by my parents - they wouldn't let me take her when I moved out! So now she enjoys visits from her (human) sister and her sometimes pesky (eh - you know how kids are) niece, Chloe.

Bio:
Sable is very protective of her family. She is very loving and playful. When she goes to the park she skips like a young puppy.
