Arrival Story:
My husband and I were looking for a breed suited to our easy-going lifestyle. We researched all kinds and finally found out about the Dogue de Bordeaux. We opted to buy from a breeder and found one in Arkansas. Puppy flew (alone!) to Newark International Airport in NJ. It was love at first sight. Ever since that day, puppy and mommy have been inseperable. Chloe is the most loving, gentle dog I have ever known. I would adopt another DDB in a heartbeat.

I like garbage, coffee, and carbs. Don't tell Mommy.

Where have I been? Well, we moved into a new house. AND, that kid DID NOT LEAVE. Now she's half my size, follows me everywhere, and if that wasn't bad enough - she is so noisy! She snorts constantly!

Mommy and Daddy were always saying, "Oh, be nice to the puppy, don't step on the puppy, let the puppy have that toy." Thankfully, she no longer thinks my tail is a chew toy, but she steals Mommy's shoes to frame me. I swear, it wasn't me. She doesn't even like shoes, she eats paper. And wood. A lot of books, some furniture, cardboard boxes and the baseboards.

Anyway, I digress. The kid took a shoe and planted it in the living room, and they all thought I did it. She's takes my blankie and my toys. She tries to hog attention... but at the end of the day... I can't help myself. She cuddles up to me to sleep and I feel like the best big sister ever.

I'm losing my edge.

What's going on here?

So, today Mommy and Daddy took me for a car ride. We went to this place where there are lots of puppies. Mommy and Daddy were going "Blah blah breeder... blah blah... female... blah." So I play with some little pups and then we all go home.

Mommy and Daddy go back out and return, SEVERAL HOURS later - with a little white puppy.

Right away this kid has her nose in my bowl, her paws on my bed and she's following my humans around. She has a crate and everything - I think she thinks she LIVES here!

I have to figure this thing out.

P.S. I do NOT like having my tail bitten!

Do you know what it's like to spend the whole day on the floor at someone's feet, pretending you wouldn't rather be on the couch? I hope he appreciates what I do for him. Who else is going to lick his face? Who else would even go NEAR his socks? Who else hangs around in the same room as him even AFTER he has chili?

I'm all about Mommy, but sometimes I gotta live up to being "man's best friend".
