Do you ever get over the loss?

It's been 7 years since Alba passed away... I still think about her almost every day. Sometimes I dream that she's alive and came over to play.
I wonder if it was beacuse she was my childhood dog and she made a very special impact on my life... But I guess every dog that we have during our lifetime is very special in their own way.

I also have come to a conclusion that there is no way you ever stop missing those who have crossed to the bridge. I also hope that the poem is true and that she really is waiting for me on the other side.

Our babies

Along the way Alba had some puppies. Her second litter turned out some winners. I googled her name and found her children, grand children and great grand children who are champions all over Europe. We've got babies in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, Switzerland (they all got their tails and ears cuz of the no docking laws) and the Netherlands.
